Volvo has launched a limited-time promotion for its all-electric compact SUV, the EX30, reducing the starting price from the original RMB 203,800 to RMB 159,800. Built on Volvo’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) pure-electric platform, the refreshed EX30 was unveiled in March 2024, with its original manufacturer-suggested retail price ranging from RMB 200,800 to RMB 263,800. Measuring 4,233 mm long, 1,838 mm wide, and 1,555 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, the EX30 is designed primarily for urban commuting. A CrossCountry crossover variant is also available, featuring specialized off-road suspension and unique exterior styling. Its unladen ground clearance increases to 196 mm, enhancing capability on unpaved roads. All variants come standard with the latest-generation City Safety system, offering features such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), and Door Opening Warning. Additionally, every model is equipped with the Level 2 Pilot Assist driver assistance system, which includes full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and a 360-degree panoramic camera. Three powertrain configurations are offered: - The rear-wheel-drive base model features an electric motor producing 200 kW (272 hp) and 343 N·m of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. It pairs with a 49 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 410 km. - The rear-wheel-drive long-range version uses the same motor but upgrades to a 66 kWh ternary lithium battery, extending the CLTC range to 590 km. - The dual-motor all-wheel-drive performance variant delivers a combined output of 315 kW (428 hp) and peak torque of 543 N·m, achieving 0–100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. It also uses a 66 kWh ternary lithium battery, with a CLTC range of 540 km.
