DeepRoute.ai, an autonomous driving company, recently announced a collaboration with an unnamed leading international automaker on Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving technology. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Shenzhen, the company has completed six rounds of financing, raising over $700 million (approximately RMB 4.898 billion) to date. Its latest-generation advanced driver-assistance system incorporates a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model, enabling "defensive driving" capabilities. To date, 200,000 vehicles equipped with DeepRoute.ai’s urban navigation pilot solution have been delivered to the market. Additionally, in December last year, DeepRoute.ai signed an agreement with Black Sesame Technologies to jointly advance mass production of high-level L2+/L3 advanced driver-assistance systems for leading automakers based on Black Sesame’s next-generation automotive-grade chip platform, while also exploring new application scenarios such as robotaxis.
