Recently, spy photos of a new flagship SUV from Great Wall Motor's WEY brand have been revealed. Built on the Guiyuan platform, the vehicle is positioned as a full-size SUV, measuring over 5.3 meters in length with a wheelbase likely reaching 3.2 meters. It features a bold, boxy design language—distinctive front fascia, elongated side profile, and a well-layered rear end. In terms of intelligence, the SUV is expected to be equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR from DeepRoute.ai (YuanRong Qixing). Powering the vehicle is Great Wall’s Hi4 plug-in hybrid system, combining a 2.0T engine with dual motors (front and rear) and a battery pack exceeding 60 kWh, promising impressive all-electric range. For chassis configuration, the SUV is highly likely to feature a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension setup, coupled with closed-loop air suspension and large-angle rear-wheel steering, achieving a remarkably tight turning radius of just 5.1 meters for enhanced maneuverability in narrow urban environments. However, the windshield wipers are not hidden—a minor shortcoming for a flagship model.
