On January 25, a Harmony Intelligent Mobility user successfully performed a remote parking maneuver in Shenzhen from Vietnam using a smartphone app, completing an automated parking operation over a distance of 2,540 kilometers. The vehicle owner utilized the VPD (Valet Parking Driver) feature of Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving system to autonomously move the car 12 meters to a new parking spot directly across the street—all within just 44 seconds. The VPD function enables fully unmanned remote operation, supporting automatic parking space search, vehicle summoning, remote repositioning, and handling complex scenarios such as pedestrian avoidance and obstacle circumnavigation, thereby fulfilling end-to-end “spot-to-spot” parking needs. This successful cross-border remote parking demonstration highlights the high reliability and advanced capabilities of Huawei’s intelligent driving technology in real-world applications.
