A South Dakota man had just left a local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant when he spotted a white Chevrolet Malibu "sparking violently" in the parking lot—the car’s left front tire had completely detached, leaving only the bare wheel hub grinding against the pavement. TikTok user @sd_djcowboy captured the scene on video, showing the vehicle emitting a screeching noise as the remaining tire tread flew off entirely upon approaching the car. Experts warned that driving in such a condition is not only extremely dangerous but can also cause severe damage to the brakes, suspension, and axle systems. Online viewers flooded the comments with jokes: “Is this real-life GTA?” and “The Malibu deserves to be on the most-wanted list.” While some claimed they’d driven long distances on a bare rim without damage, most emphasized: if you suffer a blowout, stop immediately—never attempt to keep driving.
