In early 2026, Huawei’s headquarters in Bantian, Shenzhen, welcomed multiple visits from top executives of major Chinese automakers. Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC) Chairman Xiang Xingchu and SAIC Motor President Jia Jianxu met separately with Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei. CEOs from GAC Group, Dongfeng Motor, Changan Automobile, Chery, XPeng, Li Auto, and others also engaged in intensive exchanges with Huawei between 2025 and 2026. The focus of collaboration has shifted from simple technology procurement to joint product definition, ecosystem co-building, and digital transformation. Huawei is deeply empowering automakers through its Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) and Qiankun Smart Driving solutions. Brands such as GAC’s “Qijing,” JAC’s “Zunjie S800,” and SAIC’s “Shangjie” have all rapidly launched products leveraging Huawei’s integrated systems. Data shows that the AITO series surpassed one million units in sales within just 46 months, while Seres reported a net profit exceeding RMB 5.3 billion in 2025. Sales of collaborative models from Voyah and Dongfeng have also seen significant growth. Although Huawei does not manufacture cars itself, it is reshaping the competitive dynamics of the automotive industry by forging a win-win model built on technology, channels, and ecosystem integration.
