Italian design legend Bertone has recently unveiled its new Runabout concept sports car, limited to just 25 units worldwide. The vehicle pays homage to the 1969 Autobianchi A112 Runabout, measuring 3,990 mm in length and retaining iconic design cues such as the classic wedge-shaped beltline and pop-up headlights, while integrating modern elements like LED light strips. It will be offered in two versions: Targa (with a removable roof panel) and Barchetta (fully open-top). The interior features a prominent roll cage for added drama. Power comes from a mid-mounted, supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine sourced from Toyota, delivering 468 horsepower and driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The Runabout accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h, all while weighing only 1,057 kg. Its chassis utilizes Lotus-derived bonded aluminum architecture, complemented by double-wishbone suspension and adjustable dampers.
