On January 28, BYD officially launched its "Eyes of God" 5.0 intelligent driving assistance system. Built on a fully closed-loop, end-to-end architecture, the new system incorporates enhanced reinforcement learning capabilities, enabling self-evolution of its AI large model and claiming to deliver driving performance that is steadier, more precise, and faster than even experienced human drivers. As of December 31, 2025, BYD vehicles equipped with driver-assistance systems have surpassed 2.56 million units in cumulative sales, generating over 160 million kilometers of real-world driving data daily. The new system excels in safety and human-like driving behavior: it supports automatic emergency steering to avoid obstacles at speeds up to 130 km/h, can bring the vehicle to a complete stop when detecting stationary vehicles inside tunnels at speeds up to 135 km/h, and automatically brakes when children suddenly cross the road from blind spots during daytime turns. Additionally, it optimizes performance in complex scenarios such as narrow-road passing, U-turns, navigating around temporarily parked vehicles, and handling construction zones, significantly improving traffic efficiency and driving experience.
