During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021–2025), China has continuously improved its defective product recall system and strengthened supervision over product quality and safety. Over the past five years, nationwide authorities have implemented 1,074 automobile recalls, affecting 38.0352 million vehicles, and carried out 4,190 consumer product recalls, involving 40.4019 million items. These measures have effectively safeguarded consumer rights and public safety, reflecting China's ongoing enhancement of institutionalization and standardization in product recall management.
