Uber announced it will invest over $100 million to build high-capacity DC fast-charging hubs for electric vehicles in key cities worldwide. The first phase of the project will launch in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Dallas, with locations selected at convenient parking spots for drivers. Uber has partnered with charging network operator ChargePoint and signed a utilization guarantee agreement to ensure the efficient operation of these charging facilities. This initiative aims to support more drivers in transitioning to electric vehicles and enhance the platform’s sustainable mobility capabilities.
