In a recent interview with Reuters, BMW Group CEO Oliver Zipse stated that China's vast market and immense innovation potential cannot be ignored, and any company overlooking this will miss out on a critical opportunity for global growth. He emphasized that, in the face of complex global challenges, solutions can only be found through cooperation. Zipse's remarks come just ahead of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s first visit to China, scheduled for February 24–27. Merz is expected to lead a large delegation of 30 senior German business leaders, including executives from BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes-Benz, sending a clear signal of Germany's intent to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with China.
