The vehicle appears almost entirely undisguised, retaining the current Tiguan R-Line’s overall design but featuring more performance-oriented details: at the rear, it sports the R-series’ signature quad exhaust tips and a gloss-black diffuser; the front fascia adopts a single-slat grille design and includes large openings to enhance cooling efficiency. Additionally, the new model is equipped with larger front brake calipers and ventilated discs, and its suspension system is expected to be tuned for sportier handling. While official confirmation is still pending, the powertrain is likely to carry over the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine—similar to the Golf R—with a projected maximum output of 329 horsepower (245 kW).
