Toyota launched the 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) in Japan on February 19, featuring a new-generation 2.5L series-type plug-in hybrid system that delivers a combined output of 329 horsepower and an extended all-electric range of approximately 150 kilometers. The vehicle also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power supply functionality. Available in Z and GR SPORT trims—both equipped with all-wheel drive—the new model carries a tax-inclusive price of ¥6 million (approximately RMB 268,000) for the Z grade and ¥6.3 million (approximately RMB 281,000) for the GR SPORT grade. The GR SPORT variant features race-inspired styling, enhanced body rigidity, and improved handling performance, further diversifying the RAV4 lineup’s powertrain offerings.
