On February 21, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) disclosed that Toyota is recalling 4,374 Lexus LX600 vehicles from the 2025 and 2026 model years. The recall stems from a potential malfunction of the transmission solenoid valve, which could interrupt communication between the transmission electronic control unit (ECU) and the engine ECU, thereby increasing the risk of transmission damage. Toyota will address the safety issue by providing a free software update for the transmission ECU through authorized dealers.
