NIO recently released its 2026 Chinese New Year Holiday User Energy Replenishment Report. During the holiday period, NIO users collectively drove over 960 million kilometers, with more than 300,000 vehicle owners traveling across provinces. Among them, 145,000 users drove over 500 kilometers in a single day, and nearly 4,000 users logged cumulative distances exceeding 5,000 kilometers. Nationwide, NIO’s charging and battery swap stations provided over 3.27 million service sessions, including 2.0735 million battery swaps—an increase of 29.4% year-over-year. Starting from the second day of the Lunar New Year, daily battery swap volumes set new records for five consecutive days, peaking on February 22 with over 177,000 swaps in a single day—equivalent to two battery swaps completed every second on average. Currently, NIO’s high-speed battery swap network covers major national expressways, with its 720 highway swap stations achieving record-breaking daily transaction volumes during the Spring Festival holiday. The “Swap Stations in Every County” initiative now spans more than 1,200 districts and counties, with nine provincial-level administrative regions achieving full swap coverage. Battery swap usage in county-level areas surged by 279% compared to the previous period. Additionally, NIO opened its network of 4,926 charging stations and over 28,000 charging piles to the entire industry, with more than 85% of the electricity dispensed serving users of other brands’ new energy vehicles.
