The Li Auto L9 Livis has received a major upgrade, featuring a newly developed, in-house third-generation 1.5T four-cylinder range extender that replaces the previous three-cylinder unit used in the Li Auto ONE. Despite being larger, heavier, more feature-rich, and equipped with wider tires, the new vehicle achieves a WLTC-rated fuel consumption of 6.3 L/100 km—down from 7.8 L/100 km, a reduction of nearly 20%. This new range extender delivers breakthroughs in both ultra-low fuel consumption and exceptional quietness, incorporating two industry-first technologies: 1. An EGR system capable of operating below 0°C (competitors typically require temperatures above 5°C), further reducing highway fuel consumption by an additional 5%. 2. An AI-powered intelligent oil maintenance system that predicts oil degradation based on real-world driving conditions, enabling extended service intervals of up to 3 years or 30,000 km—with some users even reaching 35,000 km—significantly lowering vehicle ownership costs.
