Honda recently launched a classic car parts program in the U.S., initially offering genuine OEM parts support for the first-generation NSX and Acura flagship models. Shortly afterward, Subaru introduced a similar service in Japan, initially focusing on GC-platform WRX and STI models and supplying wear-prone components such as engine seals, headlights, and weatherstripping. This initiative stems from a survey of Japanese owners, reflecting the enduring popularity of older STI and WRX models among enthusiasts. Although currently limited to the Japanese market, industry observers widely expect the program to expand to North America in the future—driven by strong collector interest in STIs across the U.S. and Canada and the upcoming 25th anniversary of the U.S.-spec STI in 2024. Subaru has already established a dedicated website where owners can order parts through Japanese dealers and submit suggestions for additional components they need.
