Tesla has fully transitioned to the production of V4 Superchargers, with the final V3 Supercharger cabinet rolling off the production line at its New York factory on March 18 local time, marking the end of the V3 era. Over the past seven years, the factory has produced more than 15,000 V3 cabinets. Globally, Tesla now operates a total of 75,000 Superchargers, including over 40,000 V3 units, while rapidly expanding its V4 deployment. Compared to the V3, the V4 offers higher output power, enabling it to meet the charging demands of larger Tesla vehicles like the Cybertruck and providing the technical foundation for opening Tesla’s charging network to other EV brands.
