On March 20, during the company’s earnings call, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of XPeng Inc., revealed that since mass production began in Q3 2025, the company’s self-developed Turing AI chip has shipped over 200,000 units. Starting in Q2 of this year, all XPeng vehicle models—including the Max variants—will fully transition to this chip, with an annual shipment target of nearly one million units. The Turing chip is claimed to deliver performance equivalent to three NVIDIA Orin X chips combined, efficiently powering both autonomous driving and large AI models for intelligent cockpits. It will also be deployed in AI-powered cars, flying cars, and humanoid robots. The next-generation IRON humanoid robot integrates three Turing chips, offering industry-leading on-device computing power. Targeting commercial, industrial, and household applications, it is scheduled for mass production by the end of 2026. XPeng has already begun construction of a humanoid robot production facility in Guangzhou, aiming to achieve a monthly output exceeding 1,000 units by year-end. The initial batch will be deployed in retail stores and campuses for guided tours and service tasks.
