A man purchased a Dodge CSX-T at a secondhand market and insists it is no ordinary model, but rather a special edition personally developed by legendary race car driver and designer Carroll Shelby. According to him, the car was part of the 1988 “Rent-A-Racer” program created for Thrifty rental company, with the “T” standing for Thrifty and the “X” denoting its experimental nature. Historical records confirm that Shelby indeed collaborated with Dodge between 1982 and 1989 to produce several performance models, including the CSX-T—of which only 1,000 units were built—and it was available for rent at approximately $35 per day. The vehicle is powered by a 2.2-liter turbocharged engine but lacks an intercooler, making it slightly less powerful than the contemporary CSX. Numerous commenters on the video platform have verified they either owned or drove this car, praising its excellent handling and immense driving enjoyment.
