From January to February 2026, global installed capacity of traction batteries for new energy vehicles (including battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles) reached 135.5 GWh, an increase of 5.3% year-over-year. CATL’s cumulative installed capacity amounted to 58.1 GWh, up 17.9% year-over-year, with its market share rising to 42.9% from 38.3% a year earlier. FinDreams Battery recorded an installed capacity of 19.7 GWh, down 16.7% year-over-year, and its market share declined to 14.5% from 18.3%. LG Energy Solution, SK On, and Samsung SDI all saw declines in their installed capacity, with their combined market share falling notably to 15.0% from 19.0% a year ago. Second-tier Chinese battery makers delivered strong performances: Zhengli New Energy’s installed capacity surged by 87.4% year-over-year, while Sunwoda and Ruipu Lanjun both posted growth exceeding 30%. SVOLT maintained a stable market share of around 5%, EVE Energy grew by 17.9% year-over-year, and both Gotion High-Tech and SVOLT Energy also achieved positive growth.
