In a recent Q&A session with owners, the Aito M6 EV revealed detailed safety design features of its front trunk latch mechanism. The front trunk utilizes a relatively large latch and bracket assembly mounted at a lower position, complemented by a dual-lock structure and reinforced brackets. This design aims to meet the latest pedestrian collision protection standards by providing space for the hood to deform and absorb impact during collisions, thereby enhancing pedestrian safety. Additionally, the electric front trunk integrates triple anti-pinch protection—comprising visual detection, Hall sensor-based detection, and edge-mounted anti-pinch strips—to minimize the risk of injury. The vehicle is built on Huawei’s "Giant Whale" battery platform, featuring 15 layers of physical protection and having passed over 150 stringent tests. It also includes a cloud-based 24/7 battery management system capable of issuing early warnings in case of anomalies. The Aito M6 launched pre-sales on March 23, and as of now, reservations have exceeded 100,000 units. Positioned as a spacious five-seater SUV tailored for young families, it is available in both extended-range and all-electric variants, with starting prices of RMB 269,800 and RMB 289,800, respectively.
