Volkswagen has unveiled the mid-cycle refresh of its ID.3, named the ID.3 Neo. The updated model features revised exterior styling, including redesigned headlights, a luminous wide glass strip connecting the two headlamps, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo. The vehicle’s length has increased by 23 mm, height reduced by 10 mm, wheelbase shortened by 6 mm, while width remains unchanged. At the rear, the previously black tailgate panel now matches the body color, and the windshield surround, roof, and rear spoiler also adopt a body-colored finish. Inside, the ID.3 Neo replaces the previous touch-sensitive sliders with physical buttons for quick temperature and volume adjustments. The steering wheel returns to conventional physical buttons, replacing the earlier capacitive touch controls. A new independent rear window switch and dedicated lock/unlock button have been added to the driver’s door panel. The instrument cluster is upgraded to a 10.25-inch digital display, and the central infotainment screen grows to 12.9 inches. Standard features include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-folding side mirrors, keyless start, and drive mode selection, with optional extras such as a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera system. Under the hood, the ID.3 Neo is powered by Volkswagen’s new APP350 electric motor, offered in three output variants: 168 hp, 188 hp, and 228 hp. Battery options include 50 kWh, 58 kWh, and 79 kWh capacities, delivering WLTP-rated ranges of 417 km, 494 km, and 630 km, respectively. The 79 kWh battery supports DC fast charging at up to 183 kW, while the 50 kWh and 58 kWh versions are limited to a maximum fast-charging rate of 105 kW.
