Tesla previously announced it would discontinue the Model S and Model X and shift toward robotaxi production. Prior to the official discontinuation, the company will launch limited-edition "Signature Series" versions of both models. Based on the top-tier Plaid trims, these special editions feature unique design elements, including gold exterior badges, Plaid seat emblems with matching stitching, and—on the Model S—gold brake calipers. Each vehicle also includes a dedicated interior plaque indicating its individual number within the limited production run. The Model S Signature Series will be limited to 250 units, while the Model X Signature Series will be capped at 100 units. Purchases require an invitation from Tesla, and pricing is expected to range between $150,000 and $160,000—higher than the current starting price of approximately $130,000 for the Model X Plaid. All Signature Series vehicles come standard with the Luxe package, which includes lifetime free Supercharging, four years of complimentary maintenance, and Full Self-Driving capability.
