Nissan has confirmed it is developing the next-generation R36 GT-R and explicitly stated that the model will not adopt a fully electric powertrain. Company executives indicated that, due to emissions regulations in multiple regions worldwide, the R36 GT-R is expected to feature a hybrid powertrain. A spokesperson at Nissan's Yokohama headquarters revealed that although specific details of the powertrain have not yet been disclosed, the development direction for the new vehicle has been preliminarily defined, and more sports car models could follow in the future.
