The third-generation BYD Yuan PLUS will officially launch on May 21. The model was previously unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show, featuring BYD’s signature design language. It offers six exterior color options and sports a streamlined silhouette, semi-recessed door handles, and a full-width taillight with a wave-like lighting effect. Inside, the new model features a larger central touchscreen, a new two-spoke steering wheel, a shift-by-wire stalk mounted on the steering column, and a wireless charging pad beneath the center console, while retaining some physical buttons for convenience. New interior color options include Misty Rain Grey, complemented by a 16-speaker audio system and a refrigerated/cooled glovebox. The vehicle measures 4,665 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. Powering the Yuan PLUS is BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery paired with flash-charging technology. The rear-mounted electric motor delivers a maximum output of 240 kW, enabling a CLTC-rated range of up to 630 kilometers. The car also boasts 39 storage compartments throughout the cabin, seven airbags, BYD’s “God’s Eye B” advanced driver-assistance system, the Yunniu-C intelligent damping suspension system, and support for TBC (Tire Blow-out Control) stability technology.
