In April 2026, NIO’s all-new ES8 achieved retail sales of 13,020 units, maintaining its position as the best-selling model for five consecutive months in the large SUV segment and among vehicles priced above RMB 400,000. Launched on September 20, 2025, the ES8 has a battery purchase price ranging from RMB 406,800 to RMB 446,800, while the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) leasing option starts at RMB 298,800. Since deliveries began, the model reached a cumulative milestone of 100,000 units delivered in just 215 days—setting new records in China for the fastest time to reach both 10,000 and 100,000 deliveries among premium electric vehicles priced above RMB 400,000. Regarding delivery pace, the ES8 surpassed 20,000 units delivered within 70 days of launch, exceeded 30,000 units by day 89, passed 40,000 units by day 100, and topped 70,000 units by day 160, with total deliveries surpassing 80,000 units within six months. To boost sales, NIO introduced attractive financing options: a 60-month (5-year) installment plan with zero down payment starting from 0%, featuring a 0% annual percentage rate (APR) for the first 36 months and a 3% APR for the remaining 24 months. Additionally, customers who successfully place binding orders receive a RMB 10,000 purchase tax subsidy, five years of complimentary access to NIO’s full-scenario Navigation on Pilot Plus (NOP+) advanced driver assistance system, and a premium “First Class Comfort” package including five exclusive amenities.
