The Li Auto L9 Livis will officially launch on May 15. On May 14, Li Xiang, founder of Li Auto, posted a message paying tribute to Lei Jun of Xiaomi Auto, He Xiaopeng of XPeng Motors, Wang Chuanfu of BYD, and all the pioneers who dared to take the first step—as well as users who chose to believe in innovation. Li noted that ten years ago, range-extended electric vehicle (EREV) technology was criticized as an outdated transitional solution, yet today it has become one of the energy options widely accepted by family users. He also remarked that while autonomous driving was dismissed as a scam just a few years ago, he believes autonomous driving represents the first half of embodied intelligence, with general-purpose humanoid robots marking the second half. Pre-sales for the new vehicle began on April 24 at a pre-sale price of RMB 559,800. Additional details will be unveiled, and deliveries will commence simultaneously, on the official launch day. The Li Auto L9 Livis features several cutting-edge technologies: it is equipped with two self-developed Mach 100 chips built on a 5nm process, delivering 2,560 TOPS of computing power—claimed to be the world’s most powerful intelligent driving computing platform currently available. It also includes a 360-degree full-coverage LiDAR system, and the world’s first “complete” fully-by-wire chassis, integrating steer-by-wire, four-wheel steering, and fully electric mechanical braking (EMB), enabling multiple layers of safety redundancy and ultra-fast response. Additionally, it features an 800V fully active suspension system—the first application of its kind in vehicles under RMB 600,000—with per-wheel lift force exceeding 10,000 newtons, eliminating the need for anti-roll bars and offering millisecond-level responsiveness. Xiaomi Auto has reposted Li Xiang’s tribute message, responding with, “Moving forward together, exploring together,” and extended best wishes for the successful launch and strong sales performance of the Li Auto L9 Livis.
