Changan Automobile has expressed interest in acquiring a stake in Qianli Technology and plans to adopt its advanced driver-assistance systems. The equity transfer was originally scheduled for completion in early this year, but the plan has so far seen no substantive progress. Meanwhile, Qianli Technology is advancing intelligent-vehicle collaborations with automakers including Audi and Chery. Its partnership with Audi has progressed significantly, and it has also held discussions with Mercedes-Benz regarding platform-based cooperation in smart cockpit technologies. BAIC has emerged as Qianli’s most certain external customer, with both parties planning to establish a joint venture this year to launch five models—including a sedan, an SUV, and a shooting brake coupe—some of which are expected to debut later this year. Planning for this joint venture began as early as last year, shortly after Qianli ZhiJia (Qianli Autonomous Driving) was founded, with the aim of reducing its association with the Geely ecosystem and expanding partnerships with additional external automakers.
