On May 28, BYD held an intelligent strategy launch event in Shenzhen, officially unveiling its new super AI agent named "DiDiXia." Built upon BYD’s holistic vehicle intelligence architecture, DiDiXia features full-cabin memory, cross-domain interaction, edge-cloud collaboration, and dual-mode reasoning (fast and slow thinking), aiming to transform vehicles from traditional functional tools into proactive intelligent agents. Powered by a large-model inference engine, DiDiXia supports end-to-end natural language conversations. It can remember user preferences during continuous interactions, understand ambiguous expressions, and proactively infer user needs. Its core capabilities—companionship, comprehension, and execution—enable it to handle complex, cross-domain commands spanning navigation, music, food ordering, delivery services, and more, achieving “one-sentence fulfillment.” Live demonstrations showed that the system could automatically adjust the cabin temperature upon hearing “It’s a bit stuffy in here,” switch to quiet mode after detecting a child sleeping in the rear seat, and proactively remind the driver if their phone was left on the passenger seat. In multi-task navigation scenarios, when a user issued a single request—such as heading to the airport, finding the nearest parking lot, recharging en route, and then proceeding to a hotel—the system autonomously decomposed the tasks and planned the optimal route along with charging stops. DiDiXia supports multiple languages and dialects, breaking free from rigid, fixed-command interactions. Beyond vehicle control and navigation, it integrates lifestyle services including concert travel planning, hotel booking, coffee ordering, movie recommendations, food delivery, and short-video playback. At the ecosystem level, BYD has upgraded its previously open in-vehicle platform into an “AI Agent Ecosystem,” establishing an open platform tailored for AI agents. Its technical architecture comprises three layers: AIOS as the foundational operating system, a Super AI Agent Engine handling interaction and task orchestration, and an Agent Open Platform that connects third-party services to enable seamless inter-service collaboration.
