The fourth 2025 assessment results from the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) show that the Aito M8 achieved a rating of G (Good) or higher in all five evaluated categories. Specifically, it earned a G+ (Good+) rating in three categories—"Occupant Safety," "Pedestrian Safety," and "Vehicle Assistive Safety"—and a G rating in both "New Energy Vehicle Specific Evaluation" and "Crashworthiness and Repair Cost Effectiveness." In the occupant safety tests, the Aito M8’s passenger compartment and A-pillar showed no deformation. During side-impact collisions, door intrusion was minimal, providing ample survival space. The roof exhibited virtually no deformation in the roof crush test, and child dummies showed no significant inertial displacement during high-speed collisions. These strong results are attributed to the vehicle’s “8-transverse, 5-longitudinal” body structure and extensive use of high-strength materials. In pedestrian safety testing, the Aito M8 scored 86.6%, significantly exceeding the threshold for a G+ rating. In vehicle assistive safety evaluations, the system successfully identified and actively avoided various sudden scenarios, achieving a perfect score of 100% in comprehensive performance and an overall score of 83 points. The new energy vehicle-specific assessment demonstrated that the Aito M8 employs a “5H” structural design, 15 layers of battery protection, and a high-protection-level battery pack, ensuring robust safety under complex operating conditions. Additionally, its repair cost effectiveness also received a G rating.
