Honda is developing a Civic Type R HRC for the U.S. market, with the concept car planned to make its North American debut at the 2026 SEMA Show. Honda Racing Corporation's U.S. division has begun showcasing hardware and announced that the HRC performance parts lineup will arrive at dealerships in March 2027. According to a Honda statement, the new car applies HRC technology and the experience of Honda racing drivers, and was developed specifically for American roads. Honda previously showcased the Civic Type R HRC concept, which features a modified front bumper and a redesigned rear wing, with the aero kit reserving fins that can be mounted above widened front fenders. Additionally, potential changes to the new car include an optimized cooling system, a larger intercooler, a new exhaust system and increased power output, though none of these have been confirmed as production specifications. The all-new HRC performance parts series for Honda and Acura models will be unveiled at the SEMA Show and go on sale in March 2027 through dealerships and the Honda DreamShop. Honda has not yet responded regarding whether the wheel arch fins and rear wing will be offered through dealer channels or on their pricing.
