On November 3, Lynk & Co officially announced that the original Lynk 10 EM-P vehicle involved in a cliff-fall accident in Gulin County, Luzhou, Sichuan, will be transported to Geely's Global Omnidirectional Safety Center at 10:30 on November 4 for public display and technical analysis. The accident occurred at around 6 a.m. on October 9. A Lynk 10 EM-P veered off the road while traveling on a mountainous national highway in Gulin County, Luzhou, and plunged down a cliff nearly 100 meters deep. During the fall, the vehicle struck the cliff face and rocks multiple times and rolled over, leaving the exterior severely damaged, with large areas of the bodywork crushed and parts scattered. The occupant compartment of the accident vehicle remained intact, with the A-, B-, and C-pillars undeformed, airbags deployed, doors opening normally, and no smoke, fire, or explosion from the battery pack. The driver climbed out of the cabin and called for help, and hospital examination confirmed only minor abrasions and a localized bone fracture, with no life-threatening injuries. Lynk & Co activated an emergency response after the accident, coordinating local dealerships in Chengdu and Luzhou to visit the owner in the hospital and assist with hospitalization, insurance, and vehicle damage assessment. Local traffic police are still investigating the specific cause of the accident. The Lynk 10 EM-P was launched on September 8, with four versions priced from 173,800 to 211,800 yuan. Positioned as a plug-in hybrid sedan, it features a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link all-aluminum alloy suspension, a CCD continuously variable damping electronically controlled shock absorber system, and Brembo drilled brake discs, with a 100 km/h-to-zero braking distance of 33.31 meters.
