Tesla and TSMC to Restart Terafab Chip Factory Cooperation Talks

On November 3, it was reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is reconsidering the partnership arrangements for the Terafab chip project in Texas and may have TSMC take on more construction and operational responsibilities. The two sides are preparing to restart negotiations to discuss TSMC taking primary responsibility for plant construction and operations, while equity and investment arrangements are still under negotiation. Musk previously stated that Tesla and SpaceX would build and operate the plant themselves.
