Recently, Chrysler (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. and Stellantis (Shanghai) Automotive Co., Ltd., in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Auto Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Auto Products, filed recall plans with the State Administration for Market Regulation. Chrysler (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. (Recall No. S2026M0122V) is recalling certain imported Wrangler vehicles produced between August 22, 2020 and August 19, 2024, totaling 18,544 units; and certain imported Gladiator vehicles produced between January 4, 2022 and September 1, 2022, totaling 1,853 units, effective immediately. Stellantis (Shanghai) Automotive Co., Ltd. (Recall No. S2026M0123V) is recalling certain imported Wrangler vehicles produced between June 7, 2023 and October 15, 2024, totaling 5,948 units; and certain imported Gladiator vehicles produced between April 3, 2023 and December 20, 2023, totaling 1,811 units, effective immediately. For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing reasons, the pin array of the electric hydraulic power steering pump connector does not conform to specifications, which may cause poor electrical connection between the connector and the wiring harness, leading to loss of steering assist. In extreme cases, it may cause overheating of the connector and surrounding areas, posing a fire risk. Both companies will inspect, free of charge, whether the electric hydraulic power steering pump connector is fully inserted into the pump-end interface and whether the connector secondary lock is fully engaged with the connector latch for vehicles within the scope of the recall. If they do not meet the requirements, the electric hydraulic power steering pump and wiring harness will be replaced free of charge.
