Wuhan Lotus Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. Recalls 33 Imported Lotus Elise 220 Vehicles

Recently, Wuhan Lotus Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Auto Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Auto Products, filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, under recall number S2026M0121V. Effective immediately, it is recalling certain imported Lotus Elise 220 vehicles manufactured between June 10, 2014 and December 13, 2015, totaling 33 units. For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to inadequate resin molding conditions during the manufacturing process of the low-pressure fuel pump impeller, the resin density of the impeller is insufficient. The impeller may swell and deform under the influence of fuel and interfere with the low-pressure fuel pump housing, resulting in poor operation of the low-pressure fuel pump. In extreme cases, the engine may stall while the vehicle is being driven. Wuhan Lotus Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the low-pressure fuel pump with an improved version free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall.
