Xiaomi Auto Establishes International Business Department, Yu Liguo to Serve as General Manager Concurrently

Xiaomi Auto recently announced an organizational restructuring, establishing an International Business Department. Yu Liguo, Vice President of the Auto Division, has been appointed to concurrently serve as General Manager of the International Business Department, reporting on a dual-line basis to Group CEO and Auto Division President Lei Jun and Group President Lu Weibing. Under the International Business Department, Xiaomi Auto has set up an International Marketing Department, whose related work reports on a dual-line basis to Yu Liguo and Group Vice President and CMO Xu Fei. It also comprises a GTM Department, Sales Department, Network Development Department, Delivery and Logistics Department, User Service Department, General Management Department, and regional overseas departments, with related work reporting to Yu Liguo. In May 2026, Xiaomi Auto established an Overseas Business Preparatory Group, with Yu Liguo concurrently serving as its head. According to information announced by Lu Weibing, Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, at the 2026 Xiaomi Investor Day, Xiaomi Auto is expected to officially launch its globalization process in the second half of 2027, with Europe selected as the first stop, followed by entry into right-hand-drive markets in the first half of 2028. During IFA 2026, Xiaomi Auto announced that it will enter European markets including Germany in 2027, and signed memoranda of cooperation on site with the first batch of eight leading German auto dealer groups.
