On November 6, at the 2026 China International Import Expo, Yang Jinbo, terminal sales manager of XPENG AEROHT, revealed that XPENG's flying car is expected to launch small-scale batch deliveries as early as the second half of 2027. The currently announced presale price of the flying car is 2 million yuan, and the purchase comes with a complimentary training slot for a pilot's license. Drivers must successively pass a medical examination, a theoretical exam, and a practical assessment before obtaining legal flight qualifications. According to previously published usage requirements, the driver of this flying car needs to hold a light helicopter license, with daily legal flight altitude limited to within 120 meters and a conventional cruising speed of about 60 kilometers per hour. Whether the product can ultimately be delivered smoothly depends on the progress of airworthiness certification across the entire process and the pace of implementation of supporting low-altitude flight management rules in various regions.
