General Motors covers a number of brands including Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Holden. It is reported that GM announced that it will recall more than 900,000 vehicles in two batches worldwide due to potential safety hazards in braking software and batteries. No related recall announcement has been seen in China for the time being.
It is reported that the first batch of recalls involved 550,000 models of 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Cadillac CT6 and other models. Hidden brake software may cause the vehicle's braking system and reminders to fail. After the recall, they will be handled by the dealer.
The second recall involves 400,000 models of the 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC SIERRA. The recall was due to potential safety hazards such as battery fire.
