Audi plans to unveil its first full-size flagship SUV—the Q9—in late July, targeting the U.S., Chinese, Middle Eastern, and UK markets. The cabin features a three-screen layout, comprising an 11.9-inch curved digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch curved central touchscreen, and an 11.9-inch flat passenger-side display. The Q9 debuts Audi’s new electrically operated doors, allowing all four doors to be opened or closed via the key fob, the official Audi app, or the interior touchscreen. Standard equipment includes a 1.5-square-meter panoramic glass sunroof with ventilation functionality and a UV-blocking coating that filters out over 99.5% of ultraviolet rays. The Q9 will be offered in either six- or seven-seat configurations; the six-seater features two individual second-row “captain’s chairs” with active ventilation and heating. The standard audio system includes 22 speakers, with an optional Bang & Olufsen 4D Premium setup available—featuring seat-integrated exciters in the front seats. Interior materials shift away from glossy black piano-finish plastics, instead using naturally textured wood, fabrics, and Nappa leather. Select models will even incorporate premium materials like alpaca wool fibers. Full powertrain details, specifications, and pricing will be revealed at the global premiere in July, with an expected starting price close to or slightly above £100,000.
