The Huawei Qiankun Yijing X9 flagship SUV has been listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) new vehicle registration catalog, revealing its complete exterior design, dimensions, and key specifications for the first time. The vehicle will be available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants, with overall dimensions of 5,301 mm in length, 2,015 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height (RWD) or 1,805 mm (AWD), along with a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. The model is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2026. Powering the Yijing X9 is a plug-in extended-range hybrid system equipped with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) battery packs. Optional features include a two-tone body, multiple wheel designs, front and rear combination lamps, B-pillar badges, electric running boards, and an onboard ETC device. Developed jointly by Huawei Qiankun and Dongfeng Motor, the Yijing X9 marks their first co-engineered flagship SUV. All trims come standard with Huawei Qiankun’s ADS 5 intelligent driving system and dual-path, image-grade LiDAR with 896 lines of resolution, enabling high-level advanced driver assistance across all scenarios. The cabin features Huawei’s next-generation HarmonySpace 6 intelligent cockpit. Built on the Chitu platform—derived from Huawei’s XMC Qiankun digital chassis engine—the vehicle employs an all-aluminum structure fine-tuned by European engineering teams. In terms of safety, the body incorporates ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2,400 MPa, representing a 20% improvement over the industry-standard 2,000 MPa. The battery pack underside is protected by triple-layer ballistic armor and includes a multi-redundant rescue safety system. The supply chain integrates global partners such as Bosch, ZF Friedrichshafen, and Michelin.
