Researchers from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand have developed an AI-based fast-charging strategy that dynamically adjusts the charging process based on real-time battery health conditions. This approach extends the lifespan of electric vehicle batteries by nearly 23% without increasing charging time. The findings have been published in the latest issue of the IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification.
