On May 21, Stellantis and Qualcomm announced an expansion of their multi-year technology collaboration, under which Stellantis’ next-generation vehicles will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis system-on-chip (SoC). This partnership integrates Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions with Stellantis’ proprietary software-defined vehicle platform, STLA Brain, to enhance cockpit experiences, connected car capabilities, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) performance. Stellantis also plans to deploy Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride Pilot ADAS platform across millions of vehicles, enabling scalability from basic active safety and compliance features up to Level 2+ and beyond in autonomous driving capabilities. Additionally, as part of the deepened collaboration, Stellantis intends to sell its autonomous driving and simulation company, aiMotive, to Qualcomm.
