XPeng Motors launched its new GX model on May 20, offering both all-electric and super extended-range variants across four configurations. The official manufacturer-suggested retail price ranges from RMB 279,800 to RMB 359,800, with a limited-time promotional starting price of RMB 269,800. The all-electric version is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and supports 5C ultra-fast charging technology, enabling it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 11.7 minutes. It delivers a maximum CLTC range of 750 kilometers. The super extended-range variant offers a pure electric range of 430 kilometers and a combined maximum range of up to 1,585 kilometers. All trims come standard with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, achieving a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.98 seconds. Within 12 hours of its launch, the GX received 24,863 large deposits—far exceeding expectations and placing significant pressure on production capacity. On May 25, XPeng delivered the first batch of GX vehicles to customers, who reported high satisfaction levels, noting that the car met their expectations for a premium-quality vehicle. To prioritize deliveries for existing reservation holders, XPeng founder He Xiaopeng announced he would delay delivery of the two GX units he personally ordered. The company is currently coordinating efforts across teams to ramp up supply capacity while maintaining quality, aiming to shorten customer wait times.
