On May 26, the Xiaomi YU7 Standard Edition completed a real-world range test conducted online for the first time under the "Dual Zero" standard. The "Dual Zero" standard means continuing to drive until the vehicle stops after both the displayed range and remaining battery percentage have dropped to 0%. The YU7 has a CLTC-rated range of 643 km, and in this test, it achieved an actual driving distance of 626.5 km, resulting in a range achievement rate of 97.4%. Notably, after the displayed range reached zero, the vehicle could still travel an additional 48.5 km. In comparison, the refreshed Tesla Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive variant—priced similarly—has a CLTC-rated range of 593 km. Under identical test conditions, it achieved only 499.5 km, yielding a range achievement rate of 84.2%. The Xiaomi YU7 Standard Edition is priced at RMB 233,500, RMB 30,000 lower than the refreshed Model Y RWD’s price of RMB 263,500. Moreover, the YU7 delivered 127 km more real-world range and a 13.2-percentage-point higher achievement rate than the Model Y. The entire test was conducted under consistent environmental conditions: driving mode set to Comfort, regenerative braking at the standard level, cabin temperature maintained automatically at 22°C, and tire pressure kept uniform throughout.
