The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the key priorities for automotive standardization work in 2026, explicitly aiming to promote innovation and development in emerging areas. Key focuses include intelligent connected vehicles, automotive electronics, and automotive chips, with initiatives to lead through standards and facilitate the transformation of innovative achievements into practical applications. The ministry will accelerate the development and iterative refinement of standards in areas such as automated driving, connected functionalities and applications, information and data security, resource management and information services, automotive software, automotive data, and the integrated "vehicle-road-cloud" system. Additionally, it will efficiently advance the formulation and revision of standards for critical components and systems, including automotive electronics and automotive chips.
