On May 25, 2026, United Automotive Electronic Systems (UAES) officially inaugurated its Phase II plant in Wuhu. Construction began in May 2025 and was completed within 12 months. Covering an area of approximately 27,000 square meters, this facility marks UAES’s fourth new energy production base, following those in Shanghai, Taicang, and Liuzhou. The plant primarily manufactures inverters and on-board charger and power distribution unit (OBC-PDU) series products. Production of the OBC-PDU has already commenced, with cumulative output exceeding 300,000 units as of the end of April 2026. In the future, the site will also mass-produce self-developed controller products, including embedded power modules, ultra-compact inverters, and the next-generation Charcon 6U. UAES has been active in the new energy sector since 2009 and now offers a full-stack electric drive system solution encompassing modular, standalone, integrated, and cross-domain innovative products. Established in 1995 as a joint venture between Zhonglian Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. and Robert Bosch GmbH of Germany, UAES is headquartered in Shanghai and operates multiple production bases and technical centers across China. The company possesses localized R&D and manufacturing capabilities, delivering customized products and services to automotive manufacturers both domestically and internationally.
