The China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) released its fourth round of vehicle assessment results in 2025, featuring three new energy SUVs: the Aito M8, Shangjie H5, and Fangchengbao Titan 7. In the Repairability & Crashworthiness sub-index, the Aito M8 and Shangjie H5 received a "Good" (G) rating, while the Fangchengbao Titan 7 earned an "Acceptable" (A) rating. Both the Aito M8 and Shangjie H5 achieved a "Good" rating in structural crashworthiness and crash compatibility. All three models received the highest "Good+" (G+) rating for Occupant Safety, demonstrating outstanding performance in multiple crash scenarios, including driver-side small overlap frontal impact (25%), passenger-side small overlap frontal impact (25%), moderate overlap frontal impact (50%), and side-impact collisions. For both the Vulnerable Road User Safety (pedestrian safety) and Vehicle Assistive Safety sub-indices, all three vehicles also earned "Good+" (G+) ratings and came standard with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Emergency Call (eCall) systems. In the New Energy Vehicle-specific sub-index evaluation, all three models received a "Good" (G) rating.
