On May 28, 2025, the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) released its fourth batch of 2025 assessment results in Beijing. Under the 2023 evaluation protocol and reviewed by a seven-member expert panel, three new energy SUVs—the Seres Aito M8, Shangjie H5, and Fangchengbao Titan 7—completed their assessments. In terms of crashworthiness and repairability economics, the Aito M8 and Shangjie H5 received a "Good" (G) rating, while the Fangchengbao Titan 7 earned an "Acceptable" (A) rating. Both the Aito M8 and Shangjie H5 achieved "Good" ratings for structural crashworthiness and crash compatibility, and all three vehicles received bonus points in the low-speed active safety test. Regarding occupant safety, all three models earned the top rating of "Good+" (G+). They achieved excellent results across all sub-tests, including 25% small overlap frontal collisions on both driver and passenger sides, 50% frontal offset collision, side impact, roof strength, and seat/head restraint evaluations, demonstrating effective occupant protection by their restraint systems. In pedestrian safety and vehicle assistive safety categories, all three vehicles also received G+ ratings. Their standard assistive safety features include 100% fitment of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems and E-call emergency response functions. Additionally, all three models received a "Good" (G) rating in the dedicated new energy vehicle sub-index, confirming the safety of their electric powertrain systems (battery, motor, and electronics).
