A Tesla owner and his team have completed the world’s first fully autonomous, coast-to-coast drive across Canada without any human intervention. The vehicle departed from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal in Vancouver, British Columbia, and arrived at a Tesla showroom in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after traveling 3,760 miles (approximately 6,051 kilometers) over four days and 21 hours. Throughout the entire journey, the car operated solely on the FSD (Full Self-Driving) software version V14.3.3, with no manual corrections or system disengagements. The route traversed a wide range of complex Canadian road conditions, including highways, construction zones, and varying weather environments. The vehicle autonomously handled tasks such as merging onto main roads, responding to traffic situations, and self-parking. At multiple Supercharger stations along the way, it automatically executed maneuvers like turning, aligning, and reversing into charging stalls—all without the driver touching the steering wheel or pedals. This test utilized FSD version V14.3.3, which was delivered via the 2026.14.6.6 software update. This version features enhancements to the neural network for route planning and adjustments to the driver monitoring system’s intervention thresholds. Previously, the same owner had already completed a 2,700-mile (approximately 4,345-kilometer) zero-intervention FSD drive across the U.S. from coast to coast and has now accumulated nearly 13,000 miles (about 20,921 kilometers) of total hands-free autonomous driving. Although Tesla officially still classifies FSD as a Level 2 driver-assistance system—requiring drivers to remain attentive and ready to take control—the successful long-distance demonstration highlights its advanced capabilities in real-world driving conditions.
